The annual general meeting of the bio energy association was held on 18 January 2008.
The following were elected as the office bearers:
- President - Mr. L.P. Jayasinghe
- Executive Secretary - Mr. P.G.Joseph
- Hony. Secretary - Dr. Gamini Kulatunghe
- Hony. Treasurer - Mr. Nelson Nagasinhghe
The following were elected as council members:
- Mr. Indika Galage
- Capt. Nalin de Silva
- Mr. Piyasiri Gunesekera
- Mr. Nalaka Gunasinghe
- Mr. Abeysekera
- Mr. Asoka Abeygunewardene
- Mr. Lalith Seneviratne
- Mr. Charles Wickremaratne
- Dr. Nalin Walpita
- Mr. H. Somapala
The keynote was delivered by Mr. L.P. Jayasinghe titled: Fuel, Fodder and Fertility.
